Antonio Lozano

Background

Born in Murcia, he studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia, with Ana Luisa Chova and Consol Rico.

Performances

He performed the roles of Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Lindoro (L´italiana in Algeri) at  Teatro Campoamor de OviedoBelmonte (Die Entfürung aus dem Serail) in Treviso and Philadelphia; Tamino (Die Zaubertflöte) and Ferrando (Così fan tutte) at Baluarte in Pamplona; Elvino (La Sonnambula) by Bellini; Rinuccio and Gerardo (Gianni Schicchi) by Puccini; Pittichinaccio (Tales of Hoffmann) by Offenbachthe forth jew in R. Strauss´ Salome, the role of Harlequín in the national premiere of the opera "The Emperor of Atlantis" by Victor Ullman at Palau de la Música de Valencia, Anchise, Eolo and Sicheo in Francesco Cavalli´s Didone with the ensemble Europa Galante under Fabio Biondi at la Scala and in Venice and TurinSostrate (Il prigionier superbo) by Pergolesi at the G.B. Pergolesi Theater (Jesi, Italy) ; Le Remendado (Carmen), and Knape (Parsifal) by Lorin Maazel , López (Betrothal in a Monastery) at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia; Valerio in Palomar´s La Cabeza del Bautista, Aufidio (Lucio Silla) at Gran Teatro del Liceo.

Hayden´s Stabat Mater at the Koncertgebouw under Franz Brügen, Die schöne Müllerin by Schubert, Krönungsmesse, Missa in G major by Bach under Helmuth RillingMozart´s missa in C minor and La Vida Breve by Falla with the ensemble Pablo Sarasate, El retablo de Maese Pedro, Carissimi´s Jephta, Haendel´s Messiah and Acis and Galatea, Mozart´s Requiem and missa in C major, Hasse’s Magnificat, J. Haydn’s Nelson Messe, Charpentier’s Messe de Minuit pour Noël, Cesar Cano´s Te Deum, etc.

He has made some incursions in the world of the zarzuela, with El Huésped del Sevillano and La Tabernera del Puerto.
